I’ve oogled and ogled designer fashion for most of my formative years. I’ve spent years flipping through Vogue magazines and running my fingers through racks of clothing in stores where I could, at most, buy a fashion keychain.
When Pinterest came around I found I could build a virtual wishlist that would ultimately fill up the delusional closet of my dreams.
For the most part though I understood it wasn’t realistic. That those shoes and that outfit were out my reach because there is no trust fund. There is no Swiss bank account.
When I heard about Rent the Runway I was looking for a dress for an upcoming wedding. I wanted to wear something different but I didn’t want to have to go out and buy a new dress.
I waited too long to pick something out so I ending up having to go out and buy something anyway.
More recently, though, I stumbled back on their site and expanded my search. I started scrolling through their Work Edit, accessories, and inventory of casual dress.
There is so much to choose from and as an Unlimited subscription holder you pay $0 for each item.
Every month you pay $139.00 and can choose three rotating items that you’d normally rent for a fee. As soon as you return one (sending it back in the provided UPS slip or in person at one of their stores) you can choose another item. So, in a month you can choose multiple items that retail for hundreds of dollars for $0!
I’m really loving this subscription so far. I can enjoy an eclectic fashion sense without maxing out credit cards or burning through my paychecks.
If you haven’t already, check out their website and consider their unlimited subscription!
